Why are you passionate about the research you are doing?
Many of the world's poorest populations rely heavily on livestock for food and income. Reducing disease in their livestock populations not only improves animal health, but can also improve nutrition and economic stability among human populations.

What are your aspirations after you defend your thesis?
I hope to continue to research livestock diseases affecting developing countries in an academic or governmental setting.

Why did you choose the UMN CVM?
There is a lot of veterinary epidemiology expertise here!
