The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine improved its position over previous rankings in the latest QS World University Rankings. The CVM now ranks 6th among US schools, up one from 2016, and 14th among the global community of veterinary schools. The complete rankings are available at Top Universities.

“Rankings like these are one indicator of our quality,” says Dean Trevor Ames, “but I am especially pleased with how the strength of our research performance supported our scores in this report.” The CVM ranked in the 94th percentile for its research quality in the 2017 rankings.

QS included 50 veterinary schools in the 2017 rankings, which are based on a combination of reputational surveys completed by academics and employers, and data-driven indicators of research impact.
