Overview of the USDA/ARS National Animal Health Program

Join us for Caffeinated Conversations with this month’s speaker, Dr. Cyril Gay, leader of the USDA/ARS National Animal Health Program. The National Animal Health Program at USDA/ARS includes research programs dedicated to:

  1. Defense of animal agriculture against the threat of biological agents with the potential of significant economic harm and/or public health consequences.
  2. Control of priority endemic diseases that impact the health and welfare of poultry.

Dr. Gay will present an overview of current global initiatives led by his program to help identify emerging research opportunities and stimulate ideas for research directions and potential collaboration.
