Dr. Irene Bueno Padilla, a PhD student in the VMED program and advised by Dr. Randy Singer, was invited as a subject matter expert to the Joint Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)/World Health Organization (WHO) Expert Meeting on Foodborne Antimicrobial Resistance: Role of Environment, Crops and Biocides that was held in Rome, Italy from June 11-15, 2018.
The paper, "Lesion f the OVLT markedly attenuates chronic deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA) salt hypertension in the rat," written by Dr. John Collister, Associate Professor in VBS will be published in the American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, integrative, and comparative physiology.
Dr. Michael Murtaugh, Professor in VBS and Cheryl Dvorak, Researcher 6, published a paper in Virus Research Journal entitled, "Porcine circovirus 2 infection induces IFNβ expression through increased expression of genes involved in RIG-I and IRF7 signaling pathways."
