Bruce Walcheck acquires FACSCelesta Instrument
The FACSCelesta will have 3-lasers (B-V-R) for 12 color acquisition/analysis. The new instrument will also use Diva software so old data will be compatible and the learning curve less. The new instrument will be installed in late September. There will likely be some down time for flow cytometry since the FACSCanto is being sold, but the plan is to keep delay's as minimal as possible. Dr. Walcheck will keep users updated on the setup date and process and will arrange one or two informational seminars by Becton Dickinson Biosciences to explain the instrument and applications.
