Summary

Dr. Williams is a native Minnesotan who earned his graduate degrees in Anatomy here at the University of Minnesota. He then pursued post-doctoral fellowships in both Cell Biology (Johns Hopkins Univ.) and Neuroscience (U of MN). He has been associated with the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine since 1987, first in the laboratory of Dr. Al Beitz and later as a NIH-funded principal investigator in sensory neurobiology. His research examined normal and abnormal cellular neurobiology in somatosensory systems. Currently he is focused on innovation in teaching methods and materials, and is delighted to be working with the many dedicated student candidates for the D.V.M. degree.
